Yes. Sunlighten's Infrared saunas are designed for safe, regular use and are widely used for relaxation, recovery, and general wellbeing.
The infrared light used is a natural part of sunlight and does not include harmful UV radiation. Sessions are controlled, monitored, and kept within safe limits so you can use the sauna with confidence.
If you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or are unsure, please review our contraindications here before booking your session.

Infrared saunas work by penetrating deeper into the body, rather than just heating the surface. This allows for a more effective sweat at a cellular level, supporting circulation, muscle recovery, and overall detoxification.
Because of this deeper action, infrared is often associated with stronger outcomes around heart health, reduced inflammation, skin rejuvenation, and metabolic support.
Traditional saunas mainly heat the body from the outside in, so the effects tend to stay more surface-level. Infrared targets the body more directly, which is why it’s preferable for more focused health and recovery benefits.

Most people can safely use infrared saunas as part of a regular wellness routine.
However, if you are pregnant, under 18, have a heart condition, are taking certain medications, or have any underlying health concerns, you should review our contraindications before booking.
You can read the full list here to check if infrared sauna use is suitable for you.

For general wellbeing, 2–4 sessions per week is a good starting point.
If you’re using infrared sauna for recovery, stress support, or building a routine, you can use it more frequently as your body adapts. Consistency tends to deliver better results than occasional use.
If you’re new to infrared, start with a few sessions per week and increase gradually based on how you feel.
