Health and Safety Policy

Infrared sauna therapy involves exposure to radiant heat. This may elevate heart rate, increase circulation, and induce sweating. While generally safe, it may not be suitable for everyone. Please disclose any relevant medical conditions prior to your session.

Contraindications & Conditions
You should NOT use an infrared sauna, or must seek medical advice before use, if you have any of the following:

  • Pregnancy.
  • Untreated cardiovascular conditions, including heart disease or high/low blood pressure.
  • History of stroke or transient ischemic attacks.
  • Severe or uncontrolled medical conditions.
  • Use of medications that impair heat tolerance, such as diuretics, beta blockers, or sedatives.
  • Metal implants, pacemakers, or other electronic medical devices.
  • Fever, infection, or acute illness.
  • Skin conditions aggravated by heat, such as severe eczema, open wounds, or burns.
  • Neurological disorders affecting heat sensitivity.
  • Chronic kidney disease.
  • Diabetes with complications such as neuropathy.
  • Recent surgery or injury.
  • Sensitivity to heat or history of heat exhaustion/heat stroke.

Alcohol and Drugs
Sauna use is strictly prohibited if you are under the influence of alcohol or drug intoxication.

During Your Session
You are responsible for monitoring your own physical condition during the session. You must stop immediately if you feel unwell. Please inform staff immediately if you experience discomfort, dizziness, nausea, or any unusual symptoms.

Client Declaration
By booking a session, you confirm that you have read and understood all contraindications. You confirm that you do not have any condition that makes sauna use unsafe, or you have received medical clearance. You accept full responsibility for your participation and confirm you are fit and suitable to proceed.
